A NOTE FROM THE ATTORNEY
When I began as a lawyer in the East St. Louis Legal Aid Office in 1988, I was drawn to the disability field and I have been working primarily on disability cases since then. I feel very fortunate to have a job that allows me to work with and help people. In my 25+ years in the legal profession, I have represented people with just about every kind of health problem imaginable. In my opinion, it is important for attorneys to be able to sympathize with the problems that people face when they are sick or injured, unable to work, and dealing with the disability bureaucracy that often treats them like just another statistic. Over time, I feel like my understanding of the difficulties people face during this process, as well as my knowledge of the "system" has grown considerably.
Please feel free to call or e-mail me if you want to discuss anything about the Social Security process or if you have questions about your case.
